I’m pret­ty sure it’s not help­ful or accu­rate to liken gam­i­fi­ca­tion’s crit­ics to the Tea Par­ty. Some of gam­i­fi­ca­tion’s ideas are inter­est­ing. But they should be applied with care and moderation.
