Well, the move is complete. I’ve moved my blog over to my own domain. It was lying around doing nothing, so I may as well put it to use.
This blog uses WordPress 2 as it’s CMS. It was a breeze to import all the Blogger posts. Nice one, WP team!
I’ve forwarded all the RSS feeds to Feedburner, so if you’ve subscribed to that feed (which means you’re reading this), you won’t have to change anything.
To-do:
- Create a new theme (now running the pretty “Almost Spring” by Becca)
- Pull in my Flickr photo’s
Pull in my del.icio.us links(done!)- Create an about page
- Create an archive page
- Figure out the IA for this site — to tag or not to tag?
- Categorize or tag all my old posts (not looking forward to that)
Cool! Congratulations on your new home.
Don’t forget to create a nice custom 404 page. ;-)
P.S.: is Textile enabled for comments?
Thanks Ed!
The 404 isn’t that ugly now is it?
I’m not sure if Textile is enabled. It isn’t (yet) in my post editor.Textile isn’t enabled in comments. Would be nice though.
