About

My name is Kars Alfrink, I’m a freelance interaction designer from the Netherlands. This blog functions as my public note- and sketchbook. My main professional interests are sociality, mobility and play. Most of the posts here will relate in some way to these themes.
I started this blog on a whim in 2005 while attending Reboot 7 in Copenhagen.1 Initially I posted whenever I felt like it about whatever I found ‘interesting’. Starting 2007 I decided to focus on professional topics exclusively and have been publishing a long(ish) article approximately once a week and links every other day or so. Earlier — from April 2002 to September 2003 — I kept a travel-slash-study blog in Dutch at costarica.hku.nl.2
I am active on many of the usual social web services, an index of sorts can be found at my Soup. If you’d like to get in touch with me, try shooting an email to my first name at this domain.
