So, that’s five years, eight months, 23 days from start to finish. It has been quite the journey, and I feel happy and relieved to have completed it. I am proud of the work embodied in the thesis. Most of all, I am thankful for the transformative learning experience, none of which would have been possible without the support of my supervisors Gerd, Ianus, and Neelke.

On the day itself, I was honored to have as my external committee members professors Dignum, Löwgren, van Zoonen, and van de Poel, professor Voûte as the chair, and Joost and Mireia as my paranymphs.

The thesis PDF can be downloaded at the TU Delft repository, and a video of the proceedings is available on YouTube.

Me, with a copy of the thesis, shortly before starting the layperson’s talk.
